Come Attend the “Accidental Genius” Book Launch Party

On Wednesday, July 21st, the wonderful Lolly Daskal and I will be hosting a party in Manhattan to celebrate the release of the expanded edition of my book, “Accidental Genius.”

There, I’ll be signing books and talking about freewriting and creativity.

A bunch of cool people from the worlds of business, publishing, social media, and entertainment will be stopping by.

If you’re in the area, I’d love to meet you. It’s a meet up/tweet up type of thing. Informal, and should be lots of fun.

The details:

Date: Wednesday, 7/21/10

Time: 6 pm to 9 pm

Place: Lily’s Bar at the Hotel Roger Smith (501 Lexington Avenue, New York City, which is 47th Street and Lex.)

A cash bar will be available

    1. Hi Nettie. The party was a blast. Thanks for asking.

We had a big, lively, brilliant group. Some attendees lived nearby, and others traveled far to celebrate (Tom Clifford spent four hours, one way, on a bus, and Lou Bortone drove down from New Hampshire).

There was a lot of spirited schmoozing going on. I spoke for twenty minutes about freewriting, and how we as writers and businesspeople need to lead our readers to new places and not just give them what they expect.

Lolly Daskal hosted the party. Her smarts, energy, and commitment are through the roof.

And, the staff at the Hotel Roger Smith were as generous as you could ever imagine. Brian Simpson treated us like royalty. Even the owner of the hotel stopped by, and told us how he was committed to helping the creative community.

The party was supposed to last from 6 to 9 PM, but the Roger Smith let us hang another hour. Yet another bonus of holding the celebration there.

  1. Rodney, I really appreciate your kind wishes for the party.

Thanks, too, for pre-ordering the book. If you use the technique, let me know how it goes.

And if you have questions, please ask.
